| Thornlea Dancing Queen (Christmas Ball of Penrhyn x Pren Awyr y Penrhyn) |
| Queenie is kindly on lease from the Garners of Thornlea Stud. She is the lead mare in Jerry's champion six-hitch and pairs driving teams. She has gorgeous movement and though she's fiery in harness, she is super sweet and quiet to handle. She is not officially trained under saddle, yet I have often put small children on her back when out in the field. With Jerry's stallion she produced Cobs that are doing very well in both driving and dressage competitions. She was registered as a Sect.C, but we have changed her to a D as she measures in at 13.2-3/4hh. She is crossing well with *Tuscani Dundee as her foals are deep bodied with fantastic movement and super kind and quiet dispositions. Two of her foals were shown as babies and both ended up as the North Central Region Reserve Champion colt/filly in tough competition. Her oldest offspring by Dundee has started a career in Combined driving. His new owner is thrilled not just with Mayday's pretty movement, but his outstanding work ethic and kindness. |
