What's the latest news from Castleberry
Welsh Cobs?
We are extremely proud of Pat and Marie Wagner and their accomplishments with
Castleberrys Delight (
*Tuscani Dundee x *Bwlchllan Bessie).
In 2008 Delight was the National Dressage Pony Cup Champion at Training Level with
Pat and the Reserve Champion at First Level with Marie. In 2009 Delight was the First
level Reserve Ch. with Pat. The competition was strong and there were many
professional riders competing in this prestigious event.

Pat and Delight have been competing at First Level in Open USDF Competition.  In
2008,with just the minimum number of test scores to report, Pat and Delight finished as
the
USDF 2008 All Breed Open First Level Reserve Champion!

Delight is from the first group of Welsh Cob foals bred here at Castleberry. We are
excited to see what the future holds for our up and coming youngstock.

Congratulations and thank you to Pat, Marie, and Castleberrys Delight!
*Synod Rosie O Grady had a filly!
This grand, 23 yr young mare has a very impressive pedigree, being an own daughter of
Brynymor Welsh Magic and Synod Rosemary, who have both produced Royal Welsh
winners and /or top sellers at prestigious Cob sales in Wales. Rosie is a kind, sweet-
natured and wise old mare and is a joy to have around. She is kindly on lease from Eli
Schlabach of North Star Farm.  She blessed us with an especially gorgeous filly on Aug.
31st,
Castleberrys Rosalee who will be retained as future breeding stock.
2009 News
*Tuscani Dundee                             *Bwlchllan Bessie
This cross has consistently produced top notch foals. On April 27, we were blessed with
our long awaited filly.
Castleberrys Dyma Hi is named after her paternal grandmother,
Derwen Dyma Hi, who was the top selling foal at the 1978 Llanarth sale and a great
show mare. Dyma Hi means, "She is here"!  Dyma Hi will be retained.
Castleberrys Last Emperor                            Gallod Fflamboyant
Wow, just look at the results of this breeding of a linebred Derwen Rosinas Last colt to a
linebred Nebo Daniel mare!
Castleberrys Fflying Duchess is very regretfully for sale.
2010 Foals...another very good year! So
good that we have repeated each of these
breedings for next year!
Castleberrys Chantilly Lace arrived on April 12th. She
is the first foal by our Jr. stallion,
Castleberrys Ffame
ap Culhwch, and out of our (leased) beautiful, proven,
imported champion mare,
*Tuscani Myfanwy. We are
thrilled with the quality of temperament, type and
extreme movement that came through in Ffame's first
baby. We were surprised at the amount of white on
this girl. She has lacey-white sabino markings
extending all up her hind legs, on her flanks and behind
her withers. She will really stand out and be
remembered in the breed and performance ring!
Castleberrys Ffrangipani was next to arrive on May
7th. We bought her mother,
Gallod Fflamboyant,
specifically to breed to
*Tuscani Dundee and we
couldn't be more pleased with the result. This flashy
filly is loaded with pony type, movement and
presence. She has the bold but sweet, "in your
pocket" personality that Dundee puts on his foals.
She is yet another very well bred, beautiful Section
D filly that we are proud to have carry our prefix
and represent Welsh Cobs in North America.
Two outstanding Section D fillies! What a great opportunity for breeders
looking for quality & bloodlines!
Castleberrys Rocket Man arrived on May 8th and
just look at him! He is a perfectly marked, beautiful
bay and wow, can he move! He is the second foal by
our Jr. stallion,
Castleberrys Ffame ap Culhwch. His
dam is our wonderful Warmblood mare,
Regal, who
has previously produced such terrific Sport
Cob/horses for us. We predict  that he will mature
15.2-16.2hh. Serious Dressage competitors looking
for a prospect can stop searching and give us a call to
see this extraordinary colt.

Other News
*Tuscani Dundee was selected by artist Karen Brenner for her Beautiful Horses of
Indiana project. We enjoyed meeting she and her sister, seen here with
Castleberrys
Chianti, Amanda & Castleberrys Ffrangipani. Dundee posed and showed off well for
Karen. We eagerly await and look forward to seeing the completed results.
Show News
Though we don't show very often, when we do we tend to be quite successful and have
a lot of fun. For our first and only show so far this year,
*Tuscani Dundee was awarded
Supreme Champion.
Castleberrys Rockette received a 2nd in her first Beg. Novice
Combined Test. This was at the Indiana Saddle Horse Assoc. Open show that included
Heartland Welsh/WPCSA Bronze rated classes. We love showing people what our Welsh
and Welsh crosses can do.
