Gallod Fflamboyant
(*Nebo Calonog x *Nebo Ffion by Nebo Daniel)
We wish to thank Susan Stepney of the Gallod Stud in Manitoba for this exceptionally
well-bred mare. I had wanted this mare even before she was born!
I was highly impressed with the movement I saw in a video of *Nebo Ffion, (Fflame's
dam) when she was just a yearling. After looking over her pedigree, I mentioned to Susan
that if she ever bred Ffion to her imported stallion, *Nebo Calonog, we would want the
foal if it was a filly. Three years later, Fflame was born and she had the movement I was
hoping for. Fflame is currently the only daughter of this cross and we are thrilled to have
this double Nebo Daniel granddaughter in our broodmare herd .
Fflame is a phenomenal mover as demonstrated in the photo below. She has the lift,
drive, extension and suspension that one would expect from her bloodlines. Her trot is
breathtaking! She has a sweet and fun temperament and is a bit of a clown, often making
us laugh at some of the silly things she does.
Fflame has been a very good producer for us. We first chose to breed Fflame A.I. to the
2002 George Prince of Wales cup winner,
Gwynfaes Culhwch. Fflame blessed us with a
correct, big boned, super moving  black colt,
Castleberrys Ffame ap Culhwch. In 2008
Fflame was bred to our young, linebred, Derwen Rosinas Last colt,
Castleberrys Last
Emperor and produced an outstanding filly, Castleberrys Fflying Duchess. In 2010 Fflame
blessed us with a very pony typed filly,
Castleberrys Ffrangipani.
Fflame is now being offered for sale in hopes that she will be promoted in the Dressage
ring where she will be sure to shine.
