Myfy is kindly on lease from Mike & Lynda Gillen-Smith of Solstice Welsh Cobs. She is in foal to *Tuscani Dundee for a late March 2007 foal. Going by the combined pedigrees, we are excited to see the resulting foal as it will be linebred on Dundee through his sire. The pedigree also goes back to some Derwen lines (See the other mares *Bwlchllan Bessie and *Uplands Empress) that we have already had good success with when crossed to Dundee. We expect some added height as well since Myfy officially measures in at a full 15 hands.
We had fun showing Myfy this year. She won Grand and Reserve Champion Mare at the Heartland Welsh Double Gold show in a very large mare class. She was also the Reserve Champion Sec.D mare at the WPCSA Central National and has ended the year as the North Central Region Champion Section D Mare!
Myfy earned a forever place in our hearts when she had to fill in unexpectedly as the flag bearer mount for the Centennial Celebration 100 Pony Parade. This was an amazing feat for any horse, much less a very green and out of practise mare. Click here for the full story behind the above pictures.
Myfy is truly a pleasure to have as she is fun andfull of fire in the breed ring, yet sweet and sensible under saddle, both in the ring and out on the trails. |
